League Definitions

Recreational League is by far our most popular; it includes new teams to the sport to those not quite ready for intermediate play. Based on its popularity we split teams into separate divisions, we do this in an effort to keep similar style of teams together. We set the divisions based on turn out, prior standings, and your responses to our questions during the registration process. To help you gauge where your team might stack up, consider these general definitions:

  • REC NOVICE- is newer teams or people to the sport, primary goal is to have fun and socialize
  • REC MODERATE – is teams that have played together before, have a feel for the game, and our looking for a balance of competition and socialization
  • REC SKILLED – are teams that have played together before, understand the game, have a greater focus on competition, but are not quite ready for intermediate play

*Rec League must serve underhand

Old Timers – 40+ this REC CO-ED league requires all players to be ages 40+. This league was created to offer our life long regulars who want to have some fun playing volleyball, but don’t want youngsters spiking the ball down on them.

*Old Timers – 40+ must serve underhand

Intermediate Lower is our second most popular league it has a strong focus on competition and skill

Intermediate Upper is a league for people ready to take their game to the next level it features great teams and great competition

Advanced is the best of the best and is our most skilled league
*Max of 4 players

* Intermediate and above leagues have the option of serving overhand
