Monday night bags league playoffs start August 26 and Tuesday night bags league playoffs start September 3rd! To find your playoff schedule, check your email or league apps. All playoff schedules by day are also posted on the League Apps site.
Skyline is Duluth’s premiere bean bags league with over 50 teams each week! It’s a 14-week season (+ playoffs) and Tuesday night leagues start May 28th (after Memorial Day) and Monday league starts June 3. For bean bags, we have advanced and rec leagues on either Mondays or Tuesdays with weekly games starting at 6pm, 7pm or 8pm. Teams will play 2 games/teams back-to-back within 1 hour.
On the bocce and bags decks, we are upgrading with more seating, lights, etc. On the other deck near the outdoor bar, we’ll have patio games to play before or after volleyball.
Open Bags Courts
Before our bean bag leagues start at Skyline, we’ll have the courts open to play and test your skills! Bring your team to practice, play a pre-season game, or learn the rules. We’ll have our league coordinator available to answer questions (and maybe give a few tips!). Open courts will be available May 21-23 from 6-9pm while volleyball games are played nearby. The bean bag courts will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Team registration is NOW OPEN with early bird savings through Friday, May 10. Sign up your team here! Bean bag leagues are co-ed/open league for adults (must be 21+) with 2 players per team. Subs are allowed if your teammate or team can’t make a night.
NEW Registration System
New this year: we’ll have a new registration & scheduling system for our leagues! It includes an app to keep up with schedules, standings, and any weather delays or cancellations.
We are wrapping up our summer season and that means it is time for playoffs! Each team is seeded based on the regular season.
Captains & players have been emailed their division’s playoff bracket so find your team’s path to the championship! The brackets are color coordinated by week – please keep this in mind when you are planning ahead. For Monday bags, blue will be the first week on Aug 26 and green is the second week of playoffs on Sep 9 (no games on Labor Day/Sep 2). The tournament will be double-elimination format so each team will be guaranteed 2 weeks of games. Reminder: before the playoffs begin, add all of your players to your roster to help us prevent any disputes when it comes to lineups! To update your roster, login to your LeagueApps account and invite players via email. Here’s a how-to blog post with more details for updating your roster (unfortunately, you can’t add players to your roster via the app yet). If you have any questions about your roster or your playoff schedule, give Kellen a call (218-727-8555) or email firstname.lastname@example.org. To view your bags playoff schedule, find the night you play on the Bags Playoffs page, and find the league you play in, and then download your division. Good luck!
The 2019 Summerfest tournament will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Skyline! This will also be the same weekend as the Duluth Air Show and our deck will be the perfect spot to watch the U.S. Navy Blue Angels!
The 2019 Skyline Open tournament will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Skyline!
After a summer of playing in Skyline’s bean bag leagues, we will celebrate the season with a Fall FREE For All appreciation tournament on Saturday, September 7th, 2019. This will be the last tournament of the year and is a THANK YOU to everyone who played up at Skyline this summer! The tournament is free to all summer league players but prior registration is required to play.
The next day (Sunday, September 8), we will also host a Spikeball fundraiser tournament to help “Spike Out” ALS.
